Bare Bisque comes from the idea of appreciating things in their in between stage. In pottery, bisque is the unglazed form, unfinished, raw, and full of quiet character. 

We were drawn to that sense of simplicity and calm. In the same way, we see matcha as something grounding and uncomplicated, simply a small daily ritual that brings clarity, steadiness, and presence to everyday life.

Our matcha is sourced from Uji, Kyoto, using first harvest leaves chosen for their smooth texture, vibrant colour, and naturally balanced flavour. It is a ceremonial grade, but one that is easy to enjoy, whether you are preparing it traditionally or just making it part of your daily routine.

We are not trying to make things complicated. Bare Bisque is about a well made product that fits naturally into your day and gives you a small moment to slow down.
