Bare Bisque comes from the idea of appreciating things in their in between stage. In pottery, bisque is the unglazed form, unfinished, raw, and full of quiet character. 

We were drawn to that sense of appreciation for what is often overlooked. In the same way, we see matcha as an opportunity to slow down and appreciate the smaller moments in everyday life. The moments between tasks, conversations and commitments that may seem insignificant, yet often shape our days the most.

For us, matcha is more than a drink. It’s a simple ritual that brings a sense of clarity, routine, steadiness and presence to those moments.

Our matcha is sourced from Uji, Kyoto, using first harvest leaves chosen for their smooth texture, vibrant colour, and naturally balanced flavour. It is a ceremonial grade, but one that is easy to enjoy, whether you are preparing it traditionally or just making it part of your daily routine.

We are not trying to make things complicated. Bare Bisque is about a well made product that fits naturally into your day and gives you a small moment to slow down.
